Mama told me when I was young
"Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say
And if you do this it'll help you some sunny day"
"Oh, take your time, don't live too fast
Troubles will come and they will pass
You'll find a woman and you'll find love
And don't forget, son, there is someone up above"
"And be a simple kind of man
h, be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can"
"Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need is in your soul
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try
All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied"
"And be a simple kind of man
Oh, be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can"
Oh yes, I will
"Boy, don't you worry, you'll find yourself
Follow your heart and nothing else
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try
All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied"
"And be a simple kind of man
Oh, be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can"
Baby, be a simple, really simple man
Oh, be something you love and understand
Baby, be a simple, kind of simple manGary Robert Rossington, Ronnie Van ZantThis memorial website was created to remember our dearest

Uncle Vic & the Midgets |
July 7, 2022 |
Well, a lot has happened in the past few years with out you. I miss you so dang much. Had our annual 4th of July fish dinner at Uncle Bryan's house this year. Sat with Uncle Vic and talked about the dang midgets. LOL Good Times! I love that dude! Watched Aunt Becky play with Reese throwing Frog Balls at each other. Picked on Mom and her old age. Thinking the whole time, Caleb would have a blast. We would have had a good time, with midgets, jokes, and frog balls. It doesn't seem like 4 years has passed, but it has. I really miss you little big brother. Hold down the fort up there, see you again soon.

Trick Bike |

I remember you riding that bike all over the hill. Had a good trail back there, jumping it and ramping up things. "Emmy look!!!" What I would give to hear your voice..... Nothing but pure joy on your face. Then you running around the hill, pretending to shoot bad guys. Your version of HALO before it came out. LOL. Hill was all grown up some, and you would be rolling around shooting stuff. Good Times! Miss you little brother. Love you.

Two Years...... |
May 28, 2020 |
Two Years, Two Stinking Years!!! There have been a lot of ups and downs. I miss you. Mom keeps talking about when you got a hook stuck in my leg, forever ago. LMBO. Thinking back that is so dang funny. I tried to get that thing out my leg, and you wouldnt go get Mom and Dad. Decided climbing in a tree was the best option. Little Turd. Your nephew does that, climbs in trees. Gives me a heart attack. Boys will be Boys. I keep thinking this is a nightmare and you will come walking in the door any minute. Give me a big bear hug. I would give anything to see you again. I miss you Little Brother.

Thinking about you alot |
January 15, 2020 |
Been thinking about you alot recently. I can still see your face and hear your voice, if I sit and think hard enough. I remember when you drove up to my house in North Louisiana and picked little bitty Abby up. Nuggent you called her. lol. You were at the house maybe 5 minutes, had her loaded up and gone back down to South Louisiana. She thought that was just the best day ever. Just her and Uncle Caleb. I wont ever forget the pure joy and love on both of your faces. What I miss so much of is seeing you with both the kids. She misses you like crazy and so do I. Look out for her Caleb. She got a boyfriend. I may stroke out. lol. I know what you would do and I laugh when I think about it. Miss you so much Little Big Brother. I know you are watching over us, just wish I could talk to you again.

My deepest condolences |
May 17, 2018 |
My condolences, as feelings of pain and bitterness become unbearable. It is my desire to convey a comforting thought based on the Holy Scriptures
John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
This passage speaks of the resurrection of our loved ones. It is not God's plan to see us suffer and die, so He extends the following invitation to us: "Come near to God and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8)
Please go to the following link to obtain more information regarding the Hope expressed in this passage and again we are sorry for your loss.

That smile |
May 15, 2018 |
The first memory that I can remember of Caleb was from Angelle and Dennis’s yard in a Moody Dixon trailer park, he was probably close to 6 years old and if my memory serves me correctly he was standing in a boat in their yard and waved across the “ street” to Angelle who probably with that big voice of hers said “hey Caleb” that boy who seemed shy under any other circumstance smiled that cute smile of his. I am so very sad for his passing, I am even more saddened for his sweet family. Sherry, Pat and Emily, I am so very sorry for your loss and I will keep you all in my prayers.
